Furry Islands

Using spherical envelopes, natural-like growth was induced into certain surfaces with the motive of creating ‘furry’ islands. These islands were then composed into an 8’X8’ canvas, with varying
densities and sizes of the component islands. The goal was to achieve a harmonious balance between clean, stark geometry and blurred furry surfaces. The envelopes were then rendered in best quality in Zbrush to enhance shadows in the populated canvas
